100HR VINYASA YOGA & PRIMARY SERIES TTC - WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Week 1 During this part of the course you will learn and study the main concepts and implications of Ashtanga Philosophy as well as relevant concepts of the classical texts and their roles in Yoga Therapy.

Asana will be based on Hatha Yoga and Restorative Yoga with props. You will also practice and learn Kriya Techniques (Cleansing Processes) to purify the physical and energetic body, get introduced to the physiology of common diseases and their Yogic treatments, learn how to design a Yoga Practice to reverse health conditions, get acquainted with the Chakra and Nadi systems, attend lectures and workshops on restorative Yoga and learn various Pranayama techniques with their benefits and contraindications. 

The students will be introduced to  Yogic/Ayurvedic Anatomy and Western anatomy, Pranayama practice and Meditation techniques are also an important part of this week as well as lectures and workshops on alignment and hands-on adjustments with props.

Week 2 In depth study of all topics introduced on the first week along with practicums and lectures on Yogic Psychology, Principles of Prenatal Yoga, Adjustment & Alignment workshops.

You will be able to relate and understand Hatha Yoga & Ashtanga Yoga Philosophy with the body/mind general well being , you will learn about the Yogic concept of diet and lifestyle, learn how to identify and classify food according to their different Pranic(energetic) values, more lectures on Ayurveda and Yogic Physiology will provide a further understanding of the human body/mind. Besides, daily Pranayama, Kriya and Asana practices will help you become established in your practice and realize their beneficial effect on the body and the mind.

About The Yoga Therapy Specialization Teacher Training Course

This 100Hr Yoga for Health Care Teacher Training Specialization is a recognized Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Program. During the course, you will deepen your knowledge in aspects of Yoga that are directly related to the wellbeing of the body, mind and soul. This Yoga course will provide you with practical tools to improve the life of your students as well as your own.

Subjects such as Yoga Psychology, use of Pranayama & Mudras for Health Recovery, Principles of Pre-Natal Yoga, Yoga & Health Care Class Planning, Principles of Ayurveda & its different techniques, in depth Study and Practice of Cleansing Processes (Shatkriya), Physiology of Health Conditions (Yoga for back problems, Yoga for diabetes, Yoga for Hypertension, Yoga for Arthritis, etc.), and many more Yogic health related subjects will provide a profound understanding of how Yoga can help to recover or maintain a healthy body, mind and spirit.

This Yoga for Health Care Teacher Training is recognized by Yoga Alliance which means that after its successful completion, the course will allow the student to teach Yoga internationally and apply its many different techniques to Yoga practitioners that are looking to regain their health as well as those that want to obtain a deeper understanding of the yogic knowledge to maintain their good health and improve their personal practice. Prior knowledge in Health Care or Yoga is not compulsory but we recommend a solid asana practice before enrolling in this course.

After this course, you will have a firm understanding of the energetic (Pranic) body and its relation with the rest of the body systems in order to obtain balance with the help of Yoga.
REQUIREMENTS:
Yogic concepts such as "What is Yoga", the difference between Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa, what is asana, etc., will be assumed to be known by the students enrolling in this Yoga TTC. Hence, applicants to this Yoga course must hold a 100Hr Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga TTC issued by Banjaara Yoga & Ayurveda or a 200Hr Yoga TTC from another institution issued maximum 36 months prior the commencement of the course. Yoga Teachers currently registered with Yoga Alliance may also apply to this course.

If you hold a 200Hr Yoga TTC but have not practised in a long time or do not have a basic foundation on Yogic concepts we recommend you to join the 200Hr Yoga Therapy Teacher Training , which also provides a solid foundation on Yoga.

In order to successfully complete the 100Hr Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, you will be required to attend to all classes. If you cannot meet the attendance requirements of the course you will be given a certificate of participation, but not "completion".
