100 Hour Chakra Vinyasa Yoga TTC Edinburgh - 5 Weekends

The chakras engineer the architecture of the human soul. At the crossroad between mind and body, spirit and matter, the chakras form the yoke of yoga. As gateways between the cosmos, the chakras are the seven windows that connect the inner world with the outer. The spiritual practice of Yoga activates these centres and brings us to the core consciousness of the divine within.

Chakras reorganize the subtle energy to balance the pranic flow so as to travel fully through the whole body, from grounding the first chakra (Mooladhara) to rising through the core to the infinite consciousness of the crown (Sahasrara). Much as anatomy texts describe the architecture of the body through the bones, muscles, and organs, the Chakra System describes the architecture of the human soul through the subtle energy centres aligned along our core. The elegant arrangement and meaning of these centres provide a map for the journey to divine realization in the individual and an evolutionary map for our civilization’s next awakening.

In this Yoga Teacher Training, you will learn the series of vinyasa flow (movement with breath into awareness and stillness) through the lens of the chakra system accompanied with the study of the mantras (sanskrit sounds), asanas (postures), mudras (gestures), bandhas (energy locks), pranayama (breathwork), shatkriyas (yoga detoxification practices) which are used to open, stimulate, or relax various chakras.

You will study tools and techniques to analyze the mind and body through the functioning of the chakras within; the methods of combining opposites, such as opening and closing, holding and releasing, charging and discharging, to pump energy through the whole body-mind system. You will learn sun salute variations for each chakra, along with yoga and bioenergetic movements for each chakra, along with chakra philosophy, guided meditation, yoga nidra and detoxification techniques.

Chakra Vinyasa Yoga offers the practitioner tools to enhance mental, emotional, physical and biological functions in order to bring optimal wellbeing and healing. This facilitates self-awareness, boundaries, self-esteem, emotional regulation and enhanced cognitive processing. It provides a profound testimony for completeness, a system for liberation, a design for transformation.
